![]() In her surprise, she looked down and saw that she was also still wearing Soul's oversized T-shirt and her home shorts. She was faced with Soul in his sleep wear instead of the pinstripe suit she was used to seeing in here. "Whoa whoa whoa, what are you doing?" A hand grabbed her shoulders and turned her around. ![]() As curiosity got the better of her, she reached out for the handle. Letting her eyes wander, she caught sight of a door that she never really noticed. Considering that the only times she was ever in here were during battle, appreciating the interior decorating wasn't exactly high on her priority list. This was a strange sight for her, just like Soul's bedroom, she hadn't really paid much attention to the Black room. The black and red checkerboard flooring, the phonograph sitting on top of the minimalist furniture, the red curtains surrounding them, and the lone grand piano in the middle of the room, sitting under the single light source, begging to be played. The sight that greeted her once she opened her eyes was a familiar one. Their connection felt more natural as time went by. This feeling of being whole as your partner fills out the parts she never knew were missing. Closing her eyes, she could feel their connection growing stronger until their souls just clicked into place. She felt his soul reach out to her and out of habit, immediately reached back. "Show me? Like, what, with a photo album?" I meant that instead of bumbling around trying to tell you, I could just show you." He shook his head while chuckling, "That's not what I meant dummy. Well, Soul, if you're uncomfortable, you don't have to do this." She thumbed his hands softly. I'm not exactly great at saying what I'm feeling." They shifted on the bed to face each other more easily. She was always afraid that she might stumble upon something she wouldn't want to know. She never really took notice of his room that much, merely giving it a passing glance when she woke him up in the mornings. Sending a quick glance to her surroundings, she noticed how cleaner it was. Raising a brow, she followed suit and made herself comfortable. ![]() Her partner merely sat down on his bed and patted the space beside him. "Soul? Why are we in your room?" asked Maka as she closed the door. It was time that he proved that he trusted her. He knew that if he were to tell her normally, he would unconsciously try to hide a few details, and he didn't want that. Soul had been wracking his brain for a way to tell Maka everything. ![]() It was already late into the night when they finished washing the dishes. I'm not letting you near the stove again after last time." Not that I'm complaining, but weren't we supposed to take turns cooking?" "C'mon, you'd probably die of hunger if I don't start cooking." "I have a different stomach for desserts," she proudly stated as she puffed out her cheeks. But you always eat more of Tsubaki's cheesecakes and you still look fine." How is it that you eat twice my portions and still be so thin?" complained Maka as she patted her own stomach. "Trust me, it's a long story, and we definitely need to eat first."Īs if to prove his point, his stomach growled. "But dinner first," She felt slightly disappointed when he removed his hands. She felt extremely warm and fuzzy at the thought and her face splitting grin definitely showed that. And more importantly, he said he trusted her. All the things that she wondered about, such as his hate for the piano, his obsession with coolness, his family. She would finally learn more about her weapon.
